I called H.O. to see if they could help fix a short-circuit problem. When I politely asked over the phone for a ballpark cost estimate, I was told that they could not provide this. Fine. The catch was that they charge $60 just to come out and provide an estimate, which I was told by the rep would not count towards the repair cost. Okay - so I would have to gamble on this. I decided to go with another contractor. The conversation ended here after some further explanation by the service rep of their policies. What really offended me was that 5 days later, the manager called me up to chew me out over giving the service rep a hard time. I believe I was completely pleasant and fair with the service rep. But even if I was not, this is no way to treat customers. Avoid H.O. Electric.
I think H.O. Electric is a great company for people who need an electrician right away. They answer their phone, come out, and repair the problem. All the other electricians just play games. They don't answer the phone, come out on schedule, or do a good job. I'm sticking with HO
